Book signing with Connie Wohlford to be held April 1

Just in time for Easter, beloved local Christian children’s author Connie Wohlford will be signing books Saturday, April 1 at Chapters.

Wohlford said her passion is to encourage individuals to deepen their intimacy with God and develop a Biblical worldview.

A former public-school teacher, Wohlford has written several Bible studies, as well as curriculum for adults and children. She also has published Christian children’s books, a devotional, and is a contributing author for compilation Bible studies, “Heart Renovation: A Construction Guide to Godly Character,” “Feed Your Soul with the Word of God,” and “The Power to Make a Difference.”

Her favorite Scripture is John 14:6: “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (NKJV). She and husband, Guy, make their home in the mountains of Virginia.

Chapters, located at 101 E. Grayson St. in downtown Galax, is an independent bookstore and boutique offering a unique selection of clothing, jewelry, wine and beer, specialty foods, and adult and children’s gifts.  Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays.
