Independent Bookstore Day marks its fourth year of celebrating independent bookstores nationwide on Saturday, April 28th, with literary parties around the country.

Chapters Bookshop is one of more than 500 indie booksellers across the country that will be celebrating Independent Bookstore Day (IBD) on Saturday, April 28.

Independent Bookstore Day is a one-day national party that takes place at indie bookstores across the U.S. on the last Saturday in April.  Every store is unique and independent, and every party is different.

Chapters Bookshop’s celebration includes Storytime Ballet at 11:30 a.m., refreshments, giveaways, and more.

Independent bookstores are not just stores, they’re community centers and local anchors run by passionate readers. They are lively performance spaces and quiet places where aimless perusal is a day well spent.
