Chapters Bookshop earns ‘Best of Virginia’ recognition

Chapters Bookshop, located in downtown Galax, is one of the “Best Book Stores” in Southwest Virginia, according to Virginia Living readers. The announcement was published in the magazine’s May special issue, Best of Virginia 2018.

“We want to thank our loyal customers, near and far, for voting for Chapters Bookshop,” stated owner Sharon Ritchie. “With a strong focus on customer service and a commitment to excellence, we believe the store’s reputation as not just a place to shop, but as a gathering place for locals and travelers has helped us become a downtown Galax destination.”

Chapters Bookshop is the area’s only independent bookstore and offers a variety of free events and activities throughout the year. In addition, Chapters Bookshop & the Wine Cellar at Chapters also offer a unique selection of clothing, jewelry, toys, gifts, food, beer and wine, home décor and more.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.
